Art is in my nature, and nature is in my art. In clay, stone, wood, and metal, I find a comforting stillness, even as I’m reminded of the dynamic wind, water, and fire that makes and breaks them.

These elemental materials and powerful forces are alive in their way, but the geological timeline is long. While mountains, glaciers, deserts, oceans, and open sky inspire awe, the trees and critters are closer kin. So, under the influence of live oaks and squirrels, I’ve let woodland whimsy define my style.
